Golf. Scotland. Hand in hand. Play 18 holes, what comes next? The 19th Hole! This brew packs a punch and is true to its style. Heavy caramel and earthiness come through but are definitely not overpowering. From the course to your hand, sit back and relax after a long summer day!
Altbier4.7% ABV42 IBU
Copper TrailAlexandria, MN
Alt translates to old in German, but this beer isn’t old, it’s the style that is old. In the old days of brewing, Ales were fermented colder to add some fun and unique flavors to the brew. This beer features some very nice Cherry esters and some very well paired bready notes. It is a little darker in color, but very thin and light in body. It pairs well with foods or desserts, such as the very Minnesotan Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Cheers!

Belgian Golden Strong Ale8.8% ABV28 IBU

The Belgian breed of horse is the strongest of all horses. This heavy hitter has some soft aromas and flavors of apples, pears, and oranges. It has a surprisingly smooth and dry finish. Coriander used in the brewing process gives it a fresh new take on the style, and pairs nicely with its Golden hue. But be careful – at 8.8% you definitely won’t be riding this horse into the sunset!
Oaked Bourbon Porter5.4% ABV21 IBU
Copper TrailAlexandria, MN
Oh my, there are no words. This beer is complex. This beer has Bourbon. This beer has oak. The American Medium oak brings out some amazing Vanilla character. The Bourbon adds a pleasant depth to the beer. The Porter completes the journey with a sweet, yet semi-dry chocolaty finish. All that can be said is ‘yummy’! Sit back, relax, and warm up with this treat.

This summer special is the king of thirst quenchers in Minnesota’s summer heat. The hops used in this beer do not force a bitterness that is commonly found in typical IPAs. The citra hop is in the driver seat of aroma and flavor, contributing tropical and citrus fruit character that is guaranteed to please any crowd, even if it isn’t June 21st!

Munich Dunkel4.7% ABV22 IBU
Copper TrailAlexandria, MN
Munich, meet Midwest. Midwest, meet Munich. At first taste, a nice toasty sweetness starts out. It gets followed up by subtle showings of chocolate and toffee. But the forefront is the Munich malt base. It is clean, as lagers should be, but definitely still a multi-dimensional brew. So come downtown, and give this dunkel a try!
White IPA6.1% ABV56 IBU

We are all familiar with Glaciers. They carved the landscape that we call home. This White IPA will carve your beer landscape. The wheat used softens the bitterness bite, and is paired with some insane grapefruit and mango flavors. Finished off with a healthy dry hop charge of Glacier hops, Glacier’s Edge will be the perfect thirst quencher for all seasons of the year!
Coffee Stout6.1% ABV46 IBU

Dry Chocolate Coffee Stout – Once you’ve heard the call of the Loon on a calm Minnesota night, you’ll never forget it. The same goes for Goodnight Loon. This coffee stout has a considerable charge of local coffee, roasted by Bryce’s Beans right here in Alexandria. The chocolates and molasses notes from the coffee are up front, with a unique dry finish of chocolate and roast on the back end. You won’t be going to sleep any time soon, but you can still tell the Loon goodnight!
American IPA6.8% ABV96 IBU

At first appearance, this IPA hands you a fluffy off-white head and a gorgeously clear copper hue. After the first sip, it’s nice warmth and full bodied nature is reminiscent of curling up next to a toasty bonfire. The crisp semi-bitter bite makes this a sit around the fire type of brew. Down to the last drop, this is true hops at its finest.
American Wheat Beer5.5% ABV17 IBU
Copper TrailAlexandria, MN
Blueberry Wheat – This is the perfect brew to keep you warm as fall approaches. The blueberry isn’t overpowering. There is a touch of honey malt that adds a sweet backnote. The red wheat adds some fun depth to the beer. All the while, you can reminisce to Grandma’s Blueberry Pies cooling on the window sill on a brisk autumn day. Cheers!

Imagine the crisp air of a fresh morning walk through the woods. The dew is still on the trees. The evergreens are swollen with new growth. The tips of the spruce trees suddenly appear in your beer - It’s also not suddenly morning any more. This pale ale is mildly bitter, has hints of citrus and fruitiness from the hops, and finishes with a pleasant yet not overpowering dose of spruce and pine. Have fun with this one, it only comes once a year.
Irish Red Ale5.8% ABV22 IBU
Copper TrailAlexandria, MN
This is not your regular corned beef and cabbage. This brew features a toasty caramel aroma, and a reddish-copper hue. The sweet up front nose and smooth semi-dry finish makes this Irish Red highly complex. It offers smoky hints of fire roast, and an indulgence of smooth, bready, and caramel flavors. This is the local Alexandria favorite.
Milk Chocolate Stout6.1% ABV46 IBU
Copper TrailAlexandria, MN
The sun has set on this Minnesota specialty brew. We’ve all been there when the clock strikes twelve. Just a slight breeze accompanies the vastness of the sky above. Stars as far as you can see. The Midwest Midnight is smooth. It is sweet, but not cloying. Berry and Nectar poke through from some insanely awesome hops. The Cacao Nibs from Ghana give a chocolaty finish that fights with a roasty and slightly astringent dryness for the final flavors. The off white head is picture perfect. It is everything that a Milk Chocolate Stout should resemble. It is getting late, and you are in the Midwest.
Gose5.5% ABV8 IBU

The first thing that pops with this brew is the upfront aromas of Mango and Coriander. On the first sip, a slight saltiness appears from the traditional water of the Goslar region of Germany. A little further yet, some of the lacto comes through to give an acidic tartness on the finish. At a pH of 3.5, this sour is not over the top. One might say, the Minnesour is Minnesota Nice with a nice crisp finish!

Nutty. No, not your Aunt Edna. No, not that squirrel that keeps coming back. This Nut Brown Ale is packed full of flavors. The depth of the chocolate malt pairs well with the deep red and brown hues that are put off by this brew. And yes, it is nutty. The hops add a slightly spicy backnote and impart some earthy tones as well. Enough to keep you warm in the winter months of Minnesota, but easy enough to keep you going all night next to the summer bonfire!
Märzen5.6% ABV23 IBU

This Märzen style lager will surely bring you into the spirit of the Oktoberfest season. The warm toasty notes pair with a smooth dry finish. The grain bill hosts a heavy load of Munich malt, which adds to the medium body and creamy mouthfeel. But brewed in the middle of Viking country, Oletoberfest will have even the most Norweigen shouting “Prost”! Scandinavians can drink beer too, donchyaknow!

Rye Beer – When the 8 Goths and 22 Norwegians made the voyage to Minnesota in 1362, you could have been sure they were thirsty. The Runestone Rye is an homage to this hotly debated artifact. Much like the Kensington Runestone, it is a little rough around the edges. The Rye adds a peppery undertone which complements its semi-sweet malt bill. This beer is nothing short of a legend.
