Cape May Brewery
Cape May Brewery began with one simple question: Where’s all the beer down here?? With that in mind, we decided to open a microbrewery to provide the area with fresh, delicious, local beer and help put New Jersey on the map as a craft beer state. In July 2011 we found our home here at the Cape May Airport, excitedly purchased our forklift, and delivered our first keg of Cape May IPA. Since then, we’ve proudly brewed all our beers here, crafting balanced and flavorful ales and lagers for thousands of happy locals and visitors.
Throughout the year our 100+ varieties can be found all over South Jersey & the Philadelphia area. We are proud to self-distribute our beers to over 800 bars, restaurants, and liquor stores, ensuring maximum freshness and excellent service.
Our taproom is the largest and most accessible in the state. While many production breweries are only open a few hours per week, we are open every day from 12-8pm for tours and tastings. We'd love for you to stop by!

Three months ago we brewed Coastal Evacuation the same way we always do right up to the point where fermentation ends. Normally we ferment, dry hop, condition and package the beer in three weeks time, but for this batch we spiked it with Brett. Allowing a second Brett'd fermentation take it's time to develop, we're left with a more rustic and earthy profile, expressing a more funky finish. A fresh dry hop after the Brett had adequate time to express itself leaves an aromatic and intriguing brew.

In true CMBC fashion there is a faint touch of bitterness to round things out, but the real focus here is the aroma. We end up with an amber hued cup of hop juice, one that is dry with a light body and brewed with a blend of Apollo, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial hops, Cornelius is all about the aroma.
