While it took Elysian brewers Dick and Steve two hours to get to Bale Breaker, the hundreds of pounds of wet Citra® hops picked fresh from the fields that morning traveled just five minutes from farm to kettle. Heavily dry-hopped with Mosaic™ and Equinox™ while light in color and body, this beer is all about these fresh, farm-grown hops!

That's why when we heard of the recent passing of our fellow East Valley classmate, Sgt. Joe Deccio, we were at a loss for words. The Yakima Valley has lost a beloved family member; a devoted dad, husband, friend, and first responder; and fellow craft beer lover. In his honor, we brewed this beer in collaboration with Wandering Hop; $1 per pint sold will be donated to the Sgt. Joe Deccio Memorial Fund with Homestreet Bank in support of his family.
