Our Farmstead cider is the product of a community collaboration. We invite our neighbors across the north Olympic Peninsula to bring us their bruised, bitter or bizarre backyard apples and then we ferment this charismatic collection of fruit. The result is a semi-sweet, unfiltered, frontier-style cider with rustic origins and a juicy apple character. The Farmstead then returns the good will of the community when we allocate 1o cents on every bottle sale of this blend to local food banks.

Pressed from traditional bittersweet apples and aged in fire charred Kentucky bourbon barrels, this full-flavored cider offers a hint of whiskey, oak aroma, notes of caramel and vanilla, a lingering soft tannin finish. Drew's passion for cider helped ignite the cider rennaissance in the Pacific Northwest and now, here at Finnriver, we are grateful for his mentorship as we strive to carry on a rooted cider tradition. Our seasonal ciders share the earthly essence of life in the fields and gardens of the Olympic Peninsula. We crafted this cider around the time of the Winter Solstice, inspired by the local saffron grown at Phocas Farms in Port Angeles. Saffron is considered one of the world’s most rare and costly spices and was first cultivated in Greece. The bright cider features fermented organic apples delicately steeped with herbs in honor of the early spring and the returning light. Lightly carbonated.
