The small city of Cottbus is the home of some unique gems: Sorbian culture and Kottbusserbier! This historic local beer style--featuring oats, honey & molasses--was made illegal with German unification and became extinct for over a century until a handful of American craft brewers resurrected it. Making a beer this rare calls for a celebration, and we drew inspiration for the name from the Zapust festivals held in Sorbian communities near Cottbus ahead of spring sowing. Enjoy this easy-drinking brew on the patio or at your next backyard get together. K strowosći! Limited Release. OG 1053, IBU 14, ABV 5.5%
