Once the most popular beer in Jena, Germany, this almost extinct style has a truly unique flavor! Oak & applewood smoked malts add a distinct but not overpowering flavor while lactic acid provides a tart counterpoint. When we first brewed Lichtenhainer Weisse in 2014, it was our first attempt at both a sour and extinct style. Since then we have honed our skills for making both, and this light but complex beer is a well earned reward for both brewer & beer drinker! Limited Release. OG 1055, IBU 10, ABV 5.5%
