Kentucky Waterfall Common Beer is a true American original. Produced between the Civil War and Prohibition, it was the predominant style sold in Louisville, KY. Sadly, the style died with prohibition, as the larger breweries focused on lagers when brewing was re-legalized. Kentucky Common pours a light brown and has a sweet grainy, corn-like aroma. The flavor is similar to a Cream Ale, due to the high proportion of corn typically used to thin the body to make this a more sessionable style. So grab a pint of this rare ale and imagine life as it was over a century ago. Limited Release. OG 1047, IBU 26, ABV 5%
Food Pairing: Chicken, Salmon, Bratwurst; Monterey Jack Cheese, Light Apricot or Mandarin Cake; Lemon Custard Tart
Hops: Warrior, Saaz
Grains/Adjuncts: Chocolate, Caramel, Flaked corn, pilsen
Yeast: British Ale
