Stone's Throw Hot Rod 50 Wheat Stout

Based on our first recipe--Shamus--this take on an Irish Extra Stout uses wheat as a base malt and leaves out the oats, resulting in a dryer flavor and bready finish. Hot Rod 50 is the nickname for brewery regular and Block on Rock security Czar Sgt. Rodney Lewis, and he requested the title so he could point at the board and say “I want one of those me beers.” With almost 200 different brews made so far we were more than happy to accept a little help with a new name! Limited Release. OG 1062, IBU 37, ABV 6%
