Our Anton Baltic Porter aged for 6 months in Rocktown Bourbon barrels! The Baltic Sea was a thoroughfare of trade in the 18th century between mainland Europe, Scandinavia, England, and Russia. The beer that bares its name is likewise a crossroad of flavors and styles. A dark reddish copper color & roasty malt flavor reflect its roots in English Porters, but the sweet flavors & high alcohol come from Russian influences and the finish is clean & dry like a good German lager. Traditionally brewed in cooler climes like Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia & Lithuania, Baltic Porter is a perfect pairing for a cold winter day wherever you travel. Anton Baltic Porter is named for an Estonian exchange student who always claimed his home country was the “Bavaria of the Baltic.” Barrel-Aged Release. OG 1078, IBU 32, ABV 7%
