The Baltic Sea was a thoroughfare of trade in the 18th century between mainland Europe, Scandinavia, England, and Russia. The beer that bares its name is likewise a crossroad of flavors and styles. A dark reddish copper color & roasty malt flavor reflect its roots in English Porters, but the sweet flavors & high alcohol come from Russian influences and the finish is clean & dry like a good German lager. Traditionally brewed in cooler climes like Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia & Lithuania, Baltic Porter is a perfect pairing for a cold winter day wherever you travel. Anton Baltic Porter is named for an Estonian exchange student who always claimed his home country was the “Bavaria of the Baltic.” Limited Release. OG 1078, IBU 32, ABV 7.5%
