We're resurrecting an extinct style as our world premiere recipe for November! Alles Mögliche--roughly translated as "everything but the kitchen sink"--Dampfbier is a recreation of a historic German style used by breweries to clean out their pantries. Instead of using specific grain and hop varieties, brewers would toss in whatever ingredients they had on hand and ferment with a faster working ale yeast. The result is akin to a hefeweizen with the characteristic haziness and banana-clove flavor of the yeast, but the lack of wheat produces a dryer finish. Limited Release. OG 1048, IBU 20, ABV 5%
