This IPA was inspired by our Kolsch Bier, Geistfährt. We used the malt bill of Geistfährt to produce an India Pale Ale that retained much of its extra pale hue. We harvested some of our Kolsch yeast from the Alt Bier, and fermented it a bit warmer, to get more of a fruity complexity, which goes well with the citrus and pineapple notes that we get from the blend of Zythos and Cascade hops.
