Drake's Jolly Roger (2013)

Winds are changing again for Drake’s Jolly Rodger as we hoist sails toward unforgiving, bitter, black seas. This year Jolly is dark black with aggressive late and dry hop additions of Simcoe, Mosaic, and Chinook hops that give the beer a complex aroma with hints of citrus, resin, and unmistakable spiciness. Coming in at 11.5% ABV, 2013’s Jolly Rodger still maintains a delicious smoothness that reveals the interplay of malt and hops in what we call an Imperial American Black Ale. The dread pirate is back… Yo Ho.
