For fans of more malt-accented beers, Drake’s brewers started brewing their own version of a classic English beer style, the Extra Special Bitter, or ESB. They chose to use high-quality English specialty malts for the complex toasty and slight caramel flavors malt fans crave, then fermented with a neutral California ale yeast for the clean, dry finish loved by local West coast beer drinkers.
