Named after one of the Yeastie Boys great-great-grandfathers, who was the one to 'hold the wall' in a collapsing mine as his friends escaped, it's a strong amber ale with enough rich malt to feel restorative and just the right amount of hops to keep you wanting more.This ale has a sexy, rose gold colour. A nose of the tropics with floral notes and caramel undertones. The taste is hop-filled, sweet kisses.

Every year we keep the experimental spirit of PKB alive by remixing it. For the 2016 version we decided to turn the Black IPA juxtaposition on its head by creating the world's first Pale Black IPA. Everything else is the same as the standard Pot Kettle Black, we've just removed the dark malts.

We're not sure about the style - we call it South Pacific Porter - but we can confirm that it's always been a juxtaposition: fresh and hoppy, yet also rich and dark. The Spoonbender series is a celebration of the strange things that happen when weird brewers meet even weirder folk from other industries. In this inaugural Spoonbender series, the Yeastie Boys team up with renegade winemakers Some Young Punks to create beers built around some of the Punks’ aged botrytised Viognier. Rather than aging our beer inside their barrel, adding our beer into their wine environment, we’ve created a candi-sugar with their already fermented (and aged) wine to essentially add their wine into our brewing process. To drink this wine inside a beer, this fermented beverage within a fermented beverage (or fungus upon fungus), is a welcome surprise… the vines and fields no longer recognise their fruit. A new world Tripel with a bouquet of citrus blossom, ripe peach and mango flavours, a silky mouthfeel and a warming, herbaceous spicy finish. Drink now or cellar for up to five year

A quaffable, cloudy white ale that is perfect for those afternoon sessions after a hard day's work or play. Pours a cloudy pale straw colour with a dense mousse-like white head. A perfumy coconut and vanilla note on the nose, with a little citrus and spice, and bready grains from the wheat. The mouthfeel is full for such a pale beer, but still very light and elegant. The beer finishes with a cleansing acidity, a faint spicy note and only the mildest touch of citrus from the virtually non-existent hops.
