Nestled on the banks of Bassett Creek between the Harrison & Bryn Mawr neighborhoods of northwestern Minneapolis, Utepils’ 18,000 square foot site features an iconic taproom, relaxing outdoor beer garden, and a full scale craft brewery unlike any other.
Good brewing starts with honoring the traditions of brewers who have gone before us. Our beer is brewed using the highest quality water from the historic Glenwood Inglewood wells to produce beer that is classic yet uniquely distinct. Using tried and true brewing practices, we’re creating a new tradition in the Twin Cities that brings friends and families together share good times and great beer.

Features mild notes of banana and clove with vibrant mouthfeel and a refreshing, juicy finish. It's Ewald the Golden's refined brother. We sense some sibling rivalry coming on.

Things are getting a bit shady for Ewald. He's been sneaking around quoting lines from Edgar Allen Poe and whistling themes songs from old detective movies. He also brewed a dark variation of his famous Hefeweizen for the first time. It's so good, we say: embrace the darkness, Ewald.

TOTALLY WIRTH IT: Creamy Dry Irish Stout that is light on body, rich in the taste served only in the Utepils Fernweh Taproom on nitrogen as a "house" beer. Name in honor of Theodore Wirth who early in the 1900’s was superintendent of the Minneapolis Park system. His vision and drive to set aside a large, varied and connected areas proved totally worth it as Mpls has one of the best city park systems in the world with renowned access to the public. The greatest park in the system is named after him and is our neighbor…it’s our “home” park.
