This high alcohol lager-style beer originated in the 18th Century in the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. To put our own spin on it, we brewed this beer with 50 lbs of Blackstrap molasses to boost the abv and cold fermented and cold aged it to help it mellow out the otherwise intense flavors. A pleasant alcohol warmth is present at first, accentuated by flavors of dark fruits, caramel, and toffee.

A traditional Bavarian style, the Vermilion Weiss balances bananas and clove for a refreshing ride to the bottom of your pint. No kayak required.
