Independence TEN is a barleywine brewed and dry-hopped with Chinook and Columbus hops. It was so good, we just had to brew it again. We had a ton of fun brewing this ale. We ran the wort through 50 pounds of whole leaf Chinook and Columbus using our giant hop back. And then generously dry-hopped with Chinook and Columbus in the fermenter.

Power & Light tastes just right! A simplified version of our original Pale Ale, which took home a 2014 Good Food Award, Power & Light Pale is a crisp, hoppy and refreshing American pale ale. Power & Light Pale has a slightly lower ABV than it had been, making it even more drinkable. We adjusted the malt by adding pilsen malt, which produces a very crisp finish. We also toned back the hops a little, using Cascade hops to give a pleasant hoppy aroma and flavor that does not overpower the beer. The name and design was inspired by the iconic Seaholm plant. “As a longtime Austinite, I have always loved the Seaholm plant,” says co-founder Amy Cartwright. “When it was functional it was one of the most important places in Austin, almost acting as the ‘heart of the city’. I believe that we should always find ways to embrace history without forgetting the past and make it our own, which is why we were so inspired by this iconic building.”
