Eventide Citrus Grove Hefeweizen

APPEARANCE Light gold color, hazy/cloudy from yeast and wheat, medium carbonation, and light, fluffy head. NOSE Lemon zest and bready sweetness MOUTHFEEL Sweet, full mouthfeel, pleasant carbonation, and crisp finish. TASTING NOTES Crisp, refreshing ale with slight sweetness and a welcome citrus flavor. THE INSPIRATION: The Hefeweizen has been circling the top of beers we want to produce since Eventide began production. This year we'll make this happen in true Eventide style: by putting our own unique spin on it. Cloudy and sweet with just enough bitterness to balance, the beer is a true German Hefe. However, through the addition of Sorachi Ace hops and real lemongrass we've been able to impart a citrus zest and tartness that makes this beer perfect for summer. Prost!

Kattegat Can you navigate the Kattegat? This style, unlike its better known cousin the Robust Porter, doesn't have the deeply roasted, burnt notes, noticeable hops, and prevalent esters. Our Baltic Porter will have a clean profile with flavors reminiscent of rich, dark sugar, vinous and herbal notes, some dark fruit, and just enough dark chocolate to bring everything together. We are very excited to present our new interpretation of this old style to you, and we look forward to raising a glass with you soon. ABV: 7% IBU: 27 Appearance: Deep reddish brown, opaque, with a thin off white head. Nose: Tobacco, sweet malt, hints of chocolate Mouthfeel: medium bodied,light bodied carbonation, smooth. Taste: vinuous, sweet dark fruit, dark brown sugar, clean not cloying, sweet chocolate desserts.

Big Citrus hop nose gives way to a firm malt body with a caramel like sweetness which balances the beer nicely. Finish is fairly dry with a lingering bitterness.
Eventide Red Headed Haley

This beer style and flavor was hand made for Haley Cowan as her choice for the 2014 seasonal release. Amber/Red color with med-high carbonation. Caramel sweetness on the nose with hints of pecan and toffee. Carbonation washes easily over the tongue and has a full bodied finish. Flavors of caramel, nut, and toasted bread are highly present. Finishes slightly spicy with a hint of raisin but well balanced.
