Alpha-Domina-Mellis leads in with a peach-like color and a distinctive tropical / pineapple like nose with a hint of breadiness. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with a huge, lingering bitterness provided by the huge dose of experimental hops that were added early in the boil. What the drinker is left with is a bitterness that won't quit followed by a heavy tropical, fruity, "juicy fruit" bubblegum like aroma with a lingering aroma reminiscent of star fruit and stone fruit.

Citrocity is a fun riff that we did on Citizen, by letting the primary fermentation temperature reach 85-90 F. With a fermentation temperature that high the Belgian yeast produced some amazing fruity esters that add to the overall complexity of this one-off brew. We then dry-hopped the beer with 3 different hop varieties prized for their aromatic qualities to create a unique hop-forward Belgian ale.

Collaboration with Perennial Artisan Ales (St. Louis, MO) - Fun fact: both Perennial and DC Brau own pink pallet jacks. The similar piece of brewery equipment lends its name to their collaboration. The “Pink Pallet Jack” takes a traditional style (Belgian-style Saison) and adds a twist with the addition of Rose Hips and Hibiscus, which will give the beer a “pinkish” hue.

“Zehn von Zehn” is DC Brau and Port City’s take on a traditional German-Style Dunkel. The name, which translates to “10 by 10,” references Washington, DC’s original 10 mile by 10 mile border that included parts of Alexandria, VA. Both breweries opened their doors just weeks apart in 2011.

Heurich's Lager has a sweet, mellow nose with hints of grain and bread. Appearance is a pleasant straw-golden color First sip yields a nice peppery bitterness that transitions into a smooth, sweet corn-like note riding on a velvety mouthfeel followed up by a dominant crispness that finishes light and clean. Brewed with a traditional Bavarian yeast that showcases the malt and lets the hops play a nice supporting role to compliment this historic brew.

The Public™ Pale Ale is brewed in the classic American Pale Ale style. Assertive bitterness backed by C-60 and Vienna malts which lend notes of rich, yet semi-dry caramel. Then followed up with a nice white grapefruit and citrus aroma that begs for a follow up sip.
