Currently, Bear Island Brewing Company is owned and operated by a husband and wife team (Beth & Steve) out of their residential garage! Yes, it is a real brewery with professional vessels and such, they just decided to get going at a smaller level first and go from there. They are both proud US NAVY veterans and are looking forward to their next phase for the company which is getting into a commercial facility where they can have a taproom!
