The festival now known as Oktoberfest started life in 1810 as a celebration of marriage between Crown Prince (Kronprinz) Ludwig and Theresa of Saxe-Hildburghausen, later King and Queen consort of Bavaria. Our Oktoberfest lager is a new world celebration of this style - a full bodied lager with a fleshy maltiness and some specialty malts adding more colour and weight than our standard Helles lager.
