We don't have a veranda and NC was ridden of Malaria a good while back but what we do have is a G&T Beer to quash on our porch. Yes, G&T! Our Limey Git head-brewer took our Blanche Wit, swapped Rye for some of the Wheat. Limes replaced Oranges and Juniper and Cinchona replaced the Coriander and Chamomile. Oh and added a big shot of Citric Acid. Bright and zesty from the limes with quinine tonic and pine on the back finish.
