We took our brewers' curiosity and a baker's love of heritage grains and combined them to make a rye pale ale without any peers.
Don Guerra of Barrio Bread supplied us with Gazelle Rye from Hayden Flour Mills and Red-Fife wheat from BKW Farms. We then added a clean pilsen malt base, some noble hops and six loaves of Rye bread in the mash. The final product shakes out something like a dream.
Floral noble hop notes give way to a bready, medium bodied mouthfeel with mild spice and a clean dry finish.
