A tribute to its' designer, Allen Rhoades, a fellow brewer who captured a blue ribbon at the Western Washington State Fair when it was entered as a homebrew. A smart, delicious brew. It’s everything a stout should be: rich, hearty, not thick or overpowering, and with a creamy head. Roasted barley combines with chocolate and crystal malts to create a wonderful flavor. Complements desserts well. Try one in place of a cup of coffee. Chocolate. Dark Caramel. Approachable.
Food Pairing: • Rich, spicy food like barbecued beef, Oaxacan mole or hearty Szechuan dishes.
• Great with very buttery well-aged cheddar.
• Chocolate espresso cake, cream puffs, profiterôles.
