Derived from the origins of classic Hefeweisse Bier with a uniquely northwest twist. We started with a classic Hefe recipe with a healthy dosage malted and un-malted wheat. We incorporated a traditional German Weisse Bier yeast that provides the traditional esters of banana and clove. We then put a twist on an old classic and hit it with a healthy dosage of a new-age NW Hop variety called Lemondrop and lemon peel. We then dry-hopped it twice with Lemondrop. As the name suggests the hopping added a bright citrus flavor to the beer reminiscent of squeezing a lemon into your beer as so many people do at the bar. Low alcohol, pleasant aroma and bright taste make for a perfect August and September drinker.
