Oakshire C.R.E.A.M.

It's no secret that here at Oakshire we love coffee and we love making coffee beer. With the debut of C.R.E.A.M (Coffee Rules Everything Around Me) we begin a deeper exploration and understanding about how the two interact.

For its' first iteration we worked with our good friends at Slightly Coffee Roasters to select a single farmer varietal from Columbia called Ever Chavez. We then designed a robust imperial stout brewed with organic maple syrup. After fermentation we conditioned the beer on the freshly roasted coffee beans and even more maple syrup.

Black as night, one is immediately hit with an intense aroma of chocolate, and roasted cocoa nibs and a dash of maple. The first sip is an immediate wave of mocha covered maple syrup, bright earthy and chocolate coffee characteristics, and a balanced sweetness with a tinge of drying tannin character. C.R.E.A.M. is multi-dimensional, with a depth and intensity worthy of contemplation. The aromas and taste of a great breakfast joint truly capture in a glass. The natural evolution in pushing the bounds of the way we view making beer, all while exploring the ever-evolving and expanding world one of our favorite ingredients; coffee.
