Oakshire Bourbon Big Black Jack

Each fall we craft our Imperial Porter with chocolate, pumpkin spice and cinnamon to guide us from the waning and into the first leave drops of fall. In early October of 2017, we took a portion of the batch and aged it for a year in freshly dumped Old Forester Kentucky Bourbon Barrels.

The extended barrel aging imparted notes of vanilla, graham cracker and caramel with a spicy, yet not overbearing finish. It is a wonderful extension in the continued exploration of our barrel program.
