Black Lava Gose is brewed with nearly 50% wheat and 50% pilsner malt. A small percentage of Carafe III contributes to the dark appearance that lends well with a post fermentation addition of Black Lava Sea Salt made locally on nearby Molokai. Black salt combined with a dose of lactic acid creates a unique, slight puckering mouthfeel that may surprise the palate after taking in an evanescent floral aroma from the light addition of Hibiscus.
