The Biere de Garde is a French Farmhouse ale similar to the Saisons of neighboring regions. The recipes however have more malt and in turn more alcohol content. The Biere de Garde style represents a fabulous blend of Belgian ester fruitiness and spicy phenolic flavor while still delivering a medium bodied toasted European malt feature.
