A bitteIn our home brewing days, a favorite yearly tradition was to invite our friends and neighbors to grow and harvest fresh hops for an autumn brew. Hardywood RVA IPA extends that tradition to our local community. Every spring, Hardywood gives out 1,000 hop rhizomes for interested growers to plant throughout Greater Richmond. With boundless commitment and care (with guidance from our friends at Piedmont Hops, LLC and Huguenot Hops through the Hardywood Community Hopping Project Facebook group) our growers collectively supply over 9 pounds per barrel of beer’s essential spice: hop flowers. Vibrantly floral with notes of citrus, RVA IPA is a showcase of the terroir of RVA and a true representation of our community’s commitment to collaboration.
