Special pre-1st anniversary release: This mead is an older style known as Bochet meaning caramelized or “burnt” honey mead. Caramelization generates unique characteristics that set this mead apart. The aroma of this semi-sweet, medium-light bodied mead is reminiscent of its inspiration, crème brûlée. There are also hints of marshmallow and caramel with very light honey in the background. The flavor, like the aroma, exhibits the best parts of the crunchy top of the fabled dessert without having to chew. Honey, slight vanilla, and an almost butter toffee finish round out the experience.
