El Rancho Hacienda Golden Sour

Our Hacienda Series showcases the aging process that beer undertakes when resting in oak barrels. The base beer for this barrel was a golden sour ale. The barrel previously housed red wine. This beer is partially spontaneously fermented by microbes which occupied this barrel from the time in which it housed wine. No hops were used for this beer at any point of its life. A heady aroma of oak, a light earthy funk, and grapes precedes flavors of tart red wine. The beer is acidic, but not overly dry, and you will grow more accustomed to the sourness as you sip. ||| Growler fill: 64 oz for $30
