Eight Bridges California Cluster Pale

A wet hop pale ale made with an old variety that is rarely grown these days. The California Cluster hop, once one of the most popular hop varieties which was grown in Pleasanton has returned. Rhizomes found on the edge of the old hop farm in Pleasanton have been cultivated and brought back for this beer. Over 50 lbs of these hops go into 10bbls of beer which yield a pleasant, slightly citrusy aroma with hints of tea and fresh grass. This is unique to wet hops since they have not been dried.
