A cousin to the classic German pilsner, this Italian Pilsner is sure to be a warm weather crusher. This beer followed our classic decoction mash schedule to bring out biscuit + bready notes. The grain bill for this brew features Weyermann Eraclea Pilsner malt; which uses barley grown near the Adriatic Sea, northeast of Venice. This grain produces a malty sweet aroma with notes of honey. This beer was hopped with noble hobs; tettnag, hallertau, and saaz. These together bring out loads of herbal, lemon, and peppery flavors. This pilsner got a light dry hop of Saaz hops to provide a fresh citrus kick to the finished beer.
