Four different barrels ranging in age from five months to a year and a half (two whiskey, two cabernet sauvignon), three different fruits (cherries, blueberries, and strawberries), at least eight different strains of brettanomyces - and a plethora of other organisms - have come together to make this delicious gem a reality. Teasing out memories of strawberry rhubarb jello, early season blueberries, and bright floral notes of hibiscus and rose hips with a balanced, approachable acidity, Maurea is as delicate as it is complex.
