South Ridge is brewed with a proportion of crystal malt to produce an amber color (SRA is a light copper). It uses American-variety hops, but is not extremely bitter (31 IBUs) with an intent to focus on hops that would provide a wonderful aroma and flavor. It is a emminently drinkable beer with its combination of malt and hop flavors and aromas with a slightly dry finish.
