Fresh hop beers give us brewers a chance to really connect with the farmers and hopyards that we don’t normally get to experience. We brewed this IPA in a traditional sense, but at the end of the boil we put 150 lbs of fresh Simcoe hops, picked that morning in the Willamette Valley as well as fresh Warrior and Cascade hops picked from our own Mug Club member Tim “Sizzle” Sisney, into our mash/lauter tun and pump the hot brew in to steep out those unique fresh hop flavor and aromas. The resulting beer displays intense lemon and pine aromas and flavors with excellent drinkability.
