Gose (Goes-Uh) was first produced in Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony and home to the Gose River, right around the year 1000. This is a German-style sour beer brewed with the traditional ingredients of coriander and sea salt and also brewed with Organic Sonoran White Wheat grown right here in Marana by BKW Farms. The aroma has notes of spicy coriander, lemons, and seawater. The flavor has lemon-like tart acidity and is primarily sour, secondarily salty, with just the right amount of malty sweetness to balance it out. It has an almost champagne-like effervescence that makes it enjoyable to drink. This version has been infused with grapefruit and blood orange fruit purée.
