The Germans are practical and straightforward people; Helles just means 'light'. Often incorrectly dismissed as yellow and fuzzy, Helles walks the line between bland and sublime. It should be the purest expression of malt in any brewer's portfolio. Drink three of them and make that call for yourself. Our Helles is just over 5% so it shouldn't leave you unable to defend your views on politics and religion; which are the only things worth talking about. It is the reason beer was invented.
