Abita Bourbon Maple Pecan

This is a version of our Pecan Harvest Ale that we have aged in a different manner and cask conditioned. The beer is produced in the brewhouse and fermented in the same manner as Pecan Harvest Ale. After fermentation we will age the beer in 3 different types of toasted American Oak (light, medium, and heavy toasted) and Bourbon barrels. Each different wood barrel will impart different flavors and aromas to the beer. After aging for 8-12 weeks the barrels will be blended together and cask conditioned. The result is brown ale with a warm bouquet of flavors of roasted nuts, honey, toasted bread, toffee, vanilla, and bourbon.
